Brandon, Riverview, Valrico and Apollo Beach are full of roofs under fifteen years old with 200-amp services already in place. That is close to ideal for solar. A few builder patterns still deserve a look.
Shallow pitch and small planes
Production-builder rooflines often break a large house into several small planes at a low pitch. Total square footage looks generous; usable contiguous area after setbacks and vent stacks is smaller. Layout matters more than roof size.
Truss layout and mount spacing
Engineered trusses on 24-inch centers are strong and predictable, which is good — but mount spacing has to hit them. That is why the attic photo request is not busywork.
Stack and vent congestion
Plumbing vents, bath fans and dryer vents cluster on the same rear planes solar wants. Sometimes relocating a vent during a re-roof is the cheaper path to a clean array.
