Roof area is the hard limit
Attached villas give you one modest roof plane, sometimes shared geometry with a neighbor, and existing vents and equipment eating usable space. A 4–6 kW array is a realistic outcome where a detached ranch across town might take 10 kW. That's not a bad project — it's just a different one, and the proposal should reflect it honestly.
Association approval
Florida law protects a homeowner's ability to install solar, but associations can still have reasonable rules about placement and appearance where they don't materially reduce performance. Practically: submit a clean architectural package with a roof layout, module count and equipment locations before install day. Shared structures
