Straight answer first: we do not install pool heating or pool solar. Not thermal collectors, not pool heaters. What we do is photovoltaic solar, roofing and electrical — which offsets what the whole home pulls from the utility, pool equipment included. Here is the difference, so you know who to call for what.

Three different trades get called “solar” on a pool project. Only one of them is ours.
Solar thermal collectors
Roof-mounted panels that heat pool water directly. Pool-only, weather-dependent, with limited temperature control — and they take the same roof plane solar electric wants. Not work we perform.
Heat pump pool heaters
Electric heaters with a real thermostat that work in any weather. We do not supply, install or service pool heaters — that is a pool contractor's trade, not ours.
What we actually do
Photovoltaic solar that offsets the whole home, including whatever the pool equipment already uses. Plus roofing and general electrical. No pool heating, no pool solar.
The roof plan
Every roof-mounted system wants the same unshaded south-facing plane. Deciding the roof plan first is what prevents committing your best area to the wrong system.

Do you install solar pool heating?
No. We do not install pool heating or pool solar of any kind — no thermal collectors, no pool heaters, and we do not subcontract it either. We are a solar electric, roofing and electrical contractor. This page exists because the term confuses people, so here is the straight explanation and what we can actually help with.
What does solar pool heating usually mean?
Roof-mounted thermal collectors that circulate pool water through black polymer tubing to be warmed directly by the sun. It is a pool trade, installed by pool contractors. It is a different product entirely from photovoltaic solar, even though both live on your roof and both get called solar.
How is that different from the solar you install?
Photovoltaic solar makes electricity. It does not heat pool water directly. What it does is offset what the whole home consumes from the utility — pool pump, pool heater, air conditioning, everything on the meter. That is the work we do.
Can solar panels help with my pool costs then?
Indirectly, and meaningfully. A variable-speed pool pump runs during daylight, which is exactly when solar produces, and pool equipment is often among the largest loads in a Florida home. Offsetting that consumption with your own production shows up on the bill even though we never touch the pool itself.
Will thermal collectors take roof space I would want for panels?
Frequently, yes, and this is the part people find out too late. Thermal collectors need a large, well-oriented, unshaded roof area — the same area photovoltaic panels want. If you may ever want solar electric, decide the roof plan before committing your best south-facing plane.
Should the roof be handled first?
Always, if it is near the end of its life. Anything mounted on a roof has to come off and go back on when that roof is replaced. We do roofing in-house, so we can assess the roof honestly and sequence the roof and the solar as one project.
Who should I call for the pool heating itself?
A licensed pool contractor or a pool heating specialist. We would rather point you there than pretend it is our trade. If you want solar electric, roofing or general electrical work on the same home, that part is ours.
