Solar sales jobs in Tampa, with the numbers up front

Uncapped commission on the redline, company-set appointments, and in-house crews that actually install what you sell. Here's exactly how the pay, the leads, and the support work — before you talk to anyone.

How solar sales rep compensation works here

Most solar comp plans are deliberately confusing. Ours fits on one page, and we walk through your specific numbers on the first phone call.

Commission per install, not per signature

You're paid on the redline spread of the deal you close — the difference between our cost and your contract price. Bigger systems and cleaner deals pay more. No cap, no tiers you have to unlock.

Pay terms agreed up front

Commission structure and pay schedule are negotiated with you before you start and put in writing, so there's no guessing how or when a closed deal pays.

Package deals pay twice

Solar and roofing are separate scopes here, and reps who bundle them earn on both. Batteries, generators, and electrical add-ons carry their own commission.

Overrides if you build a team

Bring your own reps or setters, or build one here, and you earn an override on their production. Team leads get their own pipeline reporting.

Setter pay, plainly

Setters earn per qualified appointment that sits, plus a bonus on every deal that closes from their sets. Full-time and part-time both exist. No experience required — we train setters from day one and the best ones move into closing roles.

Lead support: what we hand you

A commission plan is only as good as the pipeline behind it. Here's what's already running when you start.

Company-set appointments

Our setters and marketing generate confirmed appointments that land on your calendar — homeowner qualified on roof age, bill, and ownership before you drive out.

Tight territory, no cross-state driving

Tampa Bay and Central Florida only. Your runs stay inside a sane radius so you get more sits per day instead of more windshield time.

Self-gen pays more

Bring your own deal and you keep a larger share. Set appointments and self-gen sit side by side in the same comp plan — you choose your mix.

Proposals and financing handled

Design, production math, and lease submissions through EnFin, Skylight, and Participate's prepaid lease. You sell; ops carries the paperwork.

Why reps stay past the first season

We install what you sell

In-house Florida crews for solar, roofing, electrical, and batteries. No subcontractor roulette, no deals rotting in a queue because nobody can schedule them.

Honest numbers only

There is no federal tax credit anymore and we don't pretend otherwise. No production guarantees we can't back. Reps who sell straight don't get cancels.

Service that protects your referrals

Same-week service calls on our own installs. Your past customers keep sending you neighbors instead of chargebacks.

How much solar sales experience do you have?

Questions reps ask before applying

Is solar sales at Origin commission only?
Closing roles are commission based, paid on the redline spread of each deal with no cap. Setters are paid per qualified appointment set plus a bonus on deals that close. We tell you the exact numbers on the first call rather than after you sign anything.
Do you provide leads or is it all door to door?
Both. Our setters and marketing generate confirmed appointments that go straight onto rep calendars, and you can self-gen for a higher share of the deal. Most reps run a mix.
How does pay work on a deal?
Commission structure and pay schedule are negotiated individually and confirmed in writing before you start, so you know exactly how a closed deal pays.
Where are pay terms documented?
Everything is written into your agreement — the commission basis, how splits and overrides work, and the pay schedule you agreed to. Nothing about your pay lives in a verbal promise or a policy we can quietly change later.
How long does it take to get paid after I close?
Timing varies by project. Credit, site survey, permitting, and utility steps move at different speeds depending on the jurisdiction and the scope of work, so we do not publish a single universal timeline. Your agreement spells out the schedule that applies to you, and your manager can tell you where any deal stands at any point.
Can pay terms change once I start?
Not unilaterally. Any change is discussed and re-papered with you before it applies, and deals already sold are paid under the terms in place when you closed them.
Do I need solar experience?
For setter roles, no — we train from day one. For closing roles we look for consultative sales experience in solar, roofing, or home services, plus comfort with lease and prepaid lease financing conversations.
Can I bring my own sales team?
Yes. Teams come over intact and plug into our permitting, material, and finance backbone. Team leads earn an override on their reps' production.
What areas would I be selling in?
Tampa Bay and Central Florida. We do not run reps down to Miami or across the state — territories stay tight so you get more appointments per day.
