ORLANDO · FLORIDA SOLAR

Orlando solar.
Built around your bill.

A utility-first proposal review built around the actual account—not a generic Orlando savings pitch.

OUC-aware proposal review · battery, roof and electrical scope considered together

ONE OFFER · ONE NEXT STEP

An Orlando solar review starts with the utility and the export-credit assumptions.

Have another proposal? Bring its equipment list, annual production estimate, complete installed price and payment terms. A review starts with your questions.

Property conditions, utility and permitting jurisdiction are checked before design and scheduling.

Do not assume one utility serves every Orlando address

Read the utility name from the actual electricity bill. An Orlando mailing address alone does not establish either the utility or permitting authority. Keep that distinction in the proposal: an OUC export-credit assumption should not be copied into a proposal for an account served under another utility program.

Check the date on an OUC savings model

OUC states that solar billing changes take effect November 1, 2026. For the newer application group, its published schedule changes the export-credit basis after the temporary grace period. Ask the proposal author to identify the account eligibility, applicable export rate and dates used. Do not treat exported electricity and electricity consumed directly at home as having identical financial value without checking the tariff.

Plan a battery around the loads you need

List essential loads and how long they need to operate. Battery capacity and power output answer different questions, and solar panels alone do not establish outage backup. OUC also describes a battery rebate with a tradeoff involving full-retail export eligibility. Have the utility confirm how that applies to your account before accepting a rebate-based estimate.

Bring the future home into the design

An EV, pool, air conditioner replacement or occupancy change can alter future use. Keep historical use and planned additions separate rather than silently increasing the bill in the savings illustration. For business properties, provide operating hours, roof ownership and who can authorize work. Origin can then discuss the next assessment instead of presenting a generic payment.
