CLEARWATER · MANUFACTURER-DOCUMENTED PROJECT
Commercial solar.
Built around the business.
Mahajan Medical Center gives business owners a real Origin installation to examine before starting their own solar conversation.
REC’s May 12, 2025 feature identifies Origin as installer and reports these project facts. Project-specific historical projections and incentives are not quoted as current offers.
THE WORK BEHIND THE ARRAY
Several businesses.
One coordinated project.
REC describes five medical units, separate solar designs, utility-bill analysis and coordination with a new TPO roof. It also reports Enphase microinverters and roof-membrane mounting details. Those facts show why commercial scope needs more detail than a panel count.
For a new project, Origin starts with the building, the decision makers and the electrical use. A medical office, warehouse and retail property may have different hours, roof constraints and interruption requirements. The review must identify those conditions before pricing becomes meaningful.
Energy and demand are separate questions.
Bring a complete year of bills and the current utility tariff. Ask the proposal team to explain energy consumption, peak demand and any charges solar would leave in place. An annual production model alone cannot establish the future bill. Planned equipment or tenant changes should be part of the conversation.
Define the roof and operating handoff.
Document who reviews roof condition, who coordinates attachments with roofing work and who approves access or electrical interruptions. A written scope should explain equipment, exclusions, change orders, installation access and the customer’s responsibilities.
Know what completion means.
Installation, inspection and utility authorization are separate milestones. Ask for the documents, monitoring access, equipment warranty records and service contact that belong at handoff. Compare those deliverables alongside price.
YOUR PROPERTY, YOUR SCOPE
Use the project as proof.
Build your own plan.
The reported system size and equipment are evidence of completed Origin work. They are not a recommendation for another building. Production, savings, timing and payment options need a property-specific review.
- Identify the owner, authorized contact and intended decision date.
- Gather bills, roof history and any known electrical upgrades.
- List operational restrictions and planned business changes.
- Compare a written installed scope and documented handoff.
