Compare the invoice with the account
Check that the customer name and service address match the OUC electric account and the application. A project billing contact or mailing address may be different. Correct the source invoice through the contractor instead of adding handwritten identifiers to a copy after the fact.
Separate equipment categories clearly
A combined “solar and storage package” total does not meet the stated request to reflect battery cost separately. Ask for distinct solar PV and battery lines plus other major scope components. This administrative separation is not a promise that either category receives a rebate, tax treatment or utility approval.
Check the signature and revision
Use the executed invoice corresponding to the final system, not an unsigned estimate from the shopping stage. If equipment or price changed, make sure the submitted invoice reflects the accepted revision. Keep earlier versions labeled so the portal does not receive conflicting totals by accident.
Reconcile other application records
Compare the invoice equipment with the one-line diagram, passed inspection record and interconnection form. The documents serve different purposes but should describe one project. A battery shown on the electrical drawing but omitted from the purchase record is a question to resolve before upload.
Retain a homeowner copy
