Record monthly kWh, rate identifiers and unusual occupancy or equipment changes. Dollars alone combine energy, rates and other charges.
Document the cooperative rule
Ask WREC which current rider, agreement and metering treatment applies. Save the dated answer rather than relying on a regional “net metering” label.
Expose production inputs

Separate solar production, household consumption, utility billing and financing. Ask what changes when usage, export timing, rates or equipment availability differ from the model.
