Build SECO’s solar one-line and equipment document set

Give the cooperative, permitting authority and future service provider one consistent description of the installed system.

THE SHORT ANSWER

The one-line and equipment schedule should agree on component models, quantities, ratings and how generation connects to the home’s electrical service.

Start with exact models

List modules, inverter or microinverters, storage, disconnects, gateways and relevant protection using current manufacturer identifiers. Do not substitute a product-family name for the installed model.

Reconcile capacity terms

Show module DC capacity, inverter AC output and storage power and energy separately. Annual kWh production is an estimate, not an equipment capacity field.

Control drawing revisions

Number and date each one-line. When equipment or connection points change, identify the superseded version and ask which project reviewers require an update.

Preserve the as-built set

At handoff, match field labels and accessible nameplates with the final schedule. Keep the accepted document set with permits, SECO communications, monitoring access and warranty files.

Before your next conversation

  • Use exact component models.
  • Label DC, AC, kW and kWh correctly.
  • Version every drawing.
  • Keep the final as-built set.
