Search the legal identity
Look up the individual or business shown on the contract using DBPR’s official tool. Record the license type, status and name displayed on the date of review without inferring permissions beyond the official record.
Compare all project names
Place the contract seller, payment recipient, permit contractor and interconnection contact side by side. Ask for a written explanation of different business names before signing or sending funds.
Confirm who performs each scope
Solar, roofing, electrical and storage work may involve different qualified parties. The proposal should identify responsibilities, supervision, permit roles and how change orders are approved.
Preserve verification evidence
Save the dated DBPR result and later recheck before field work if the project timeline is long. Report licensing questions to DBPR; ask SECO only about its utility process.
