An expansion changes the complete interconnected system. Use the existing approval and installed inventory as the baseline, then add the proposed equipment in one design.
Find the original baseline
Locate SECO communications, permit closeout, one-line, module and inverter schedule and authorization. If unavailable, document the current system and ask what records must be recreated.
Show all capacity values
Calculate existing plus proposed module DC rating, inverter AC output and any storage ratings. Do not mix annual kWh production with kW capacity or describe only the added portion.
Review site feasibility
Inspect roof age and condition, shade, attachment layout, pathways, service equipment and conductor capacity through qualified professionals. Available panel space does not establish an approvable connection.
Confirm the change workflow
Ask SECO and the permitting authority about current submissions before ordering equipment. Update contracts, drawings and the final owner file with the accepted expanded system.
