THE SHORT ANSWER
Start with both drivers’ schedules. Two charging points can make access easier, but the electrical design and equipment compatibility determine how they can operate together.
Build a simple weekly parking plan
Write down when each car arrives, when it leaves and which driver can move a car if needed. For a Riverview household with different work shifts, sharing one point may be practical on some days and inconvenient on others. Include where each charging inlet sits when parked. Discuss daily use first, then the occasional day both vehicles need more charging.
Compare convenience as well as hardware
Ask for two clearly described options if you are undecided: one charging location shared by the household, and a design with two accessible charging points. Document whether either option involves moving vehicles or changing how the garage is used. A less expensive equipment list may still leave a daily coordination problem that the household does not want.
Do not assume every charger shares power
Tesla’s Group Power Management supports compatible Gen 3 Wall Connectors; its documentation distinguishes this from dynamic management for a single Wall Connector. [1] Ask the installer to identify the exact feature and product combination in a multi-vehicle proposal. Do not substitute another brand or generation after the design without checking compatibility.
Test the agreed routine during the walkthrough
Have both drivers attend if possible. Ask what normal simultaneous charging looks like, who manages the settings and where the equipment instructions are kept. Keep the proposed operating arrangement with the project records so a later charger replacement starts from the actual design.

- List arrival and departure times for both drivers.
- Show both normal parking positions.
- Ask which equipment combinations are supported.
- Have both drivers join the handoff.
