Separate the relationships
Identify property owner, OEU account holder, equipment owner, borrower or lessor, monitoring administrator and service provider from written records.
Ask OEU about the change
Have authorized parties confirm current account and interconnection steps through the city’s published channel. Do not guarantee that prior billing treatment or signatures transfer automatically.
Build the system packet
Include request confirmation, size calculation, approval letter, permits, inspection, PTO, meter record, as-built equipment, warranties and service history. DOE recommends retaining system information. [2]
Disclose unfinished work
List open corrections, unavailable credentials, alerts or roof issues with dates. Solar service can document condition; legal, title, tax and lending questions require their respective professionals.
