Utility workload, access or project-specific issues can change timing. Do not schedule a guaranteed savings start or contractor payment solely from the published estimate.
Record meter evidence safely
Save OEU notices and the visible meter identifier without removing seals or covers. Note the change date and any brief outage or equipment restart.
Check monitoring afterward
Confirm the solar system and internet gateway return to normal through supported homeowner interfaces. A missing app value may be a communications issue, not a meter fault.
Review the first full cycle
Keep the first complete OEU bill, production export and meter dates. Separate utility import/export values from total solar generation used inside the home.
