Map elevations and water flow
Document grade, roof discharge, low points, flood history and equipment elevations. Include the full conduit path rather than only its endpoints.
Review entries and drainage
Ask the engineer and installer how pull boxes, seals, drains, fittings and cabinet entries address water. Do not drill or add makeshift drains to listed equipment.
Coordinate trench and landscape work
Keep irrigation, downspouts, future grading and vehicle areas visible in the scope. Photograph conduit before burial and record depth or route information required by the project.
Respond safely to water
After flooding, stay away from wet electrical equipment and follow utility, emergency and manufacturer guidance. Qualified inspection should precede reenergization or warranty conclusions.
