THE SHORT ANSWER
Enphase provides a homeowner monitoring experience and homeowner support. A property transfer should give the buyer control of the correct site record and the documents needed for service. [1]
Confirm what is being transferred
Review whether panels, microinverters, batteries and monitoring equipment are owned, leased or financed. The deed transfer, equipment agreement and utility account are separate. Do not assume an app invitation proves ownership or releases a financing obligation.
Inventory system identity
Photograph accessible exterior labels safely and record the IQ Gateway or Envoy serial, inverter family, battery model and service address. Ask the seller for the site ID and the email currently associated with homeowner monitoring.
Transfer utility and app records separately
Contact the electric utility about the new account and any required interconnection agreement. Then use Enphase homeowner support [2] for the current ownership or access process. Completion of one step does not establish the other. Save confirmation from both.
Verify the monitoring baseline
After access changes, compare recent daily production, device count and alerts with the seller’s closeout records. Missing historical data or a mismatched site name should be resolved before it becomes the only record of system condition.
Create a new support map
Record who will handle equipment service, roof work, monitoring questions and any remaining warranty claim. If the original installer closed, ask providers what systems they accept and what diagnostic terms apply before assuming coverage.
