THE SHORT ANSWER
The Enphase App receives system-health and performance information through the monitoring platform. A reporting interruption and an energy-production fault therefore require separate evidence. [1]
Read the exact status
Capture the wording, timestamp and affected device shown in the app. “Gateway not reporting,” “microinverter issue” and a zero-production chart are not interchangeable. Avoid clearing alerts before saving evidence that a technician may need.
Check household communications context
Note whether the home internet works and whether the router, network name, password or service provider changed. Do not open the gateway or electrical equipment. A network event near the first missing timestamp is useful evidence but not proof of the cause.
Compare independent records
Look for local display indicators described in the owner instructions and compare utility usage over several days, understanding that the utility meter does not show total solar production. If batteries are present, record their status and operating mode too.
Avoid unnecessary resets
Repeated power cycling can erase the clean timeline and may be unsafe if the homeowner cannot identify the correct procedure. Follow the current Enphase homeowner-support path [2] or arrange qualified service. Photograph labels from a safe exterior position only.
Give service a reproducible case
Provide the site ID, gateway serial, account email, screenshots, router-change date and whether all or some devices are affected. Ask the provider to confirm diagnostic fees, access requirements and accepted work before scheduling.
Before your next conversation
- Capture the exact app status and time.
- Note recent internet or router changes.
- Record whether all devices are affected.
- Do not open or repeatedly reset equipment.
