File approvals together
Include permit closeout, inspection results, Duke application reference and final utility authorization. Label the service address, system capacity and final date on an index page.
Document the installed system
Save the as-built one-line, module and inverter schedule, accessible serials, roof attachment information, shutdown instructions and battery details. Mark substitutions from the original proposal.
Transfer digital control
Have the homeowner sign into monitoring, verify the email and recovery method, and export a baseline report. Store manufacturer and service contacts outside the app in case access fails.
Clarify support boundaries
Separate product warranties, installer workmanship terms, roof coverage, utility billing questions and maintenance services. Record what each document actually says; do not turn a warranty into an invented service guarantee.
